Chief Tenacity Officer
Passionate, driven, and focused on making the right match the first time, Beth Flohr excels in understanding the nuances of her client’s needs. Based in San Diego, she partners with high growth technology clients “dynamic organizations with passionate people” specializing in building leadership teams, sales organizations and groups that touch sales (i.e. product, client success, marketing) with a focus in Health Tech and Digital Health. One client Beth has partnered with since 2005 asserts she is “by far the most tenacious recruiter I have worked with in my career. She has an eye for talent.”
After completing her degree at the University of Arizona, Beth envisioned a career as a retail buyer, but her instincts as a recruiter soon emerged, prompting her to join Culver Careers. She later moved to Adecco where she made her mark as a Rookie of the Year and qualified for the President’s Club in her first year. Beth then ran her own boutique recruiting firm for nine years, working with clients both large and small. In 2011 Beth joined Lucas Group where she consistently made President’s Club and was in the top 20 recruiters nationally at the highest-level ranking companywide. After an exceptional five and a half years with Lucas Beth saw a unique opportunity to build a new business unit with The Newport Group who had not previously been in technology search. After 3 years with the Newport Group, Beth decided to launch a new firm with a fresh approach while remaining consistent to her core beliefs to add value to both her clients and candidates by being transparent, honest, urgent and focusing on the fit for both sides.
Her approach is direct and process oriented. Beth quickly assesses the culture to ensure she brings the right people to the table who not only have the right tangible skill set, but also are a very strong cultural fit. In the words of one client: “Beth doesn’t fake it. She is personable yet direct.” Her instincts and expertise ensure each search is viable and will attract and secure a great candidate. Beth also takes the pressure off her client’s hiring managers, by presenting only the most qualified, vetted and interested candidates, while handling all issues and concerns that come up through the hiring process. As a result, she forms trusted, long term relationships with clients who rely on her again and again.
As a busy mom with two active teens, Beth recharges with family time, visits to the beach and power yoga classes. If she weren’t so marvelously talented at recruiting, she confides she would probably own a trendy boutique “matching clients’ style with high fashion must-haves” not so very different from what she does today. “I love the win,” Beth smiles. “It’s getting great people with great companies and watching everyone excel.
